La The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (from now on the ”IJC”) informs you of its data protection policy in agreement with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”).
We are a non-profit organization whose primary activity is to increase scientific knowledge to continue to transform it into improvements in medical care for patients in the community.
This privacy policy applies to the treatment of data of the users of the webpage http://www.germanstrias.org (from now on the “website”). The IJC reserves the right to modify this privacy policy occasionally and if important changes are made, they will inform the user so they can check the changes before they continue to use the website. The act of continuing to use our services after we have published or communicated any change in the privacy policy will mean that the user is in agreement with the changes.
1. Information collected
The IJC obtains personal data of the users through the following methods:

2. How is data treated?
The legal basis for the treatment of data is the free consent of the person in question, this can be revoked at any moment. The data will be kept for the duration of the consent.
The IJC guarantees that all personal data under its responsibility is handled in accordance with the GRPD:

- Personal data is treated so that its security is guaranteed by means of the application of the appropriate technical and organizational measures
3. Use of users’ personal data
The IJC communicates to its users that the personal data that they provide will be included in a database belonging to the IJC, located at Carretera de Can Ruti, camí de les Escoles S/N, 08916 Badalonaand used to communicate the activities of the IJC.
The user is the only one responsible for the data they provide to the web. In no case will it be communicated to third parties. If in the future the IJC wants to use it for different reasons than those identified here, we will inform the user of the new reasons and request their consent previously.

4. Sharing data with third parties
The IJC will not provide users’ data to third parties. We do not share personal information unless we have express permission, or we consider in good faith that it is permitted by law, or that it is reasonable to reveal it in order to obey legal procedures, including but not limited to a civil or criminal suit, judicial order or other obligatory disclosure.

Sending data via electronic formulas prepared by the IJC on its website, or in email messages, or contents facilitated by the user of the website suppose express consent for the treatment of the data included in the media described. The user accepts that their data is used for the ends described in the section “use of personal data of users” and this permission can always be revoked, without retroactive affects in agreement with current legislation. The user guarantees that the data supplied to the IJC is true and is responsible for communicating any changes to the IJC.
6. Safety of data
The IJC has the technical and organizational means to guarantee the level of security required by the GRPD and has established all the technical means available to it to avoid the loss, incorrect use, alteration or unauthorized access or theft of the data provided by the user through the website.
7. Rights of the users
The user can exercise their rights of access, rectification, limitation, suppression, opposition and portability of their personal data. They can exercise these rights by accrediting their identity using a photocopy or scanned document of the identification card and addressing their request to the Data Protection Officer, Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute, Carretera de Can Ruti, camí de les Escoles S/N, 08916 Badalona, or by using the email dpd@carrerasresearch.org
They also have a right to present a complaint to the authorizing body.
8. Modification of the privacy policy
The IJC reserves the right to modify the present privacy policy and adapt it to future new legislation or jurisprudence or for future uses that it plans to carry out for personal data of the users of the website. In any case, the IJC will inform the users prior to any changes to be made in this policy. For this reason, we recommend that the user consult the privacy policy of the web every time they access.
9. Integrity of the privacy policy
In the case that any clause in the privacy policy is annulled, or considered null; the rest of the conditions will not be affected and will retain their validity and force.
